The Robinson family wanted to honor their daughter’s high school graduation with a backyard party rooted in Southern tradition. They booked Papa Drew’s Kitchen to cater a relaxed, flavorful evening for 40 guests.
We designed a menu that felt like a family reunion: gumbo, mac and cheese, blackened chicken, hush puppies, and sweet tea by the gallon. Everything was prepped fresh and served buffet-style so guests could go back for seconds.
We coordinated timing around the family’s schedule, arriving early to set up chafing stations and staying to keep dishes hot throughout the party. The hosts never had to lift a finger.
The graduate’s grandmother said the gumbo reminded her of home in Louisiana, which is the highest compliment we could ask for. Milestone celebrations like this are what “Serving Soul” is all about.
